John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched a lot of people by his lyrics. Many of these have roots in Colorado. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, the singer-songwriter fell in the love of Colorado and then moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems are a source of inspiration for people to travel to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declares that John Denver is unlike any other performer who has the recognizable image of Colorado. Denver, the Hall of Fames' inaugural inductee was recognized by the honor in 2011. He is now the international face of Colorado. Through my many travels, I've encountered many individuals who do not hail from Colorado. They'll declare, "Oh John Denver!" whenever they learn that you come from Colorado. Brown said. Take Me Home Country Roads was co-written by Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo performer after a brief period in small folk ensembles. Danoff originally wrote it to Johnny Cash's tune with a focus on Johnny Cash, however Denver realized from the first time he heard earlier versions that it would be a big success.
